According to MedMD There is just two side effects for taking L-Carnitine in 2000mg doses daily One is that if you have hypothyroidism this may drop your thyroid levels even further Ok going back to my experience. At first I was fairly excited taking L-Carntine . There were supposedly many benefits taking L-Carntine.
Weight loss and faster metabolism. Neither of these things happened to me in fact I
• Gained weight
• Felt lethargic to the point was feeling I didn’t care about anything.
• I didn’t have energy
• I wasn’t feeling relaxed
Bad enough to the point where I had no energy, I wasn’t feeling relaxed and feeling like I didn’t care about anything. So I didn’t know what was happening to me, however I didn’t start feeling like this until I started taking the supplement. I looked up some side effects and I didn’t think that the supplement was affecting thyroid levels until I looked up what the side effects of hypothyroidism were and they are as follows. After I stopped taking L-Carnitine a few days later I felt normal again. So guys I don’t recommend this supplement as for the follows: L-Carnitine is actually used to slow down the thyroid for people have hyperthyroidism. So if the supplement is used to slow down the thyroid I’m not going to take the supplement. However maybe the supplement is working for you then why stop taking it.
