Over the past years Americans have been gaining weight despite the low-fat diets. Many diets have been tried such as the low-fat diet even recommended by the American Heart Association, but they have not worked and they fail to provide evidence for them working. Dr. Atkins introduced the low-carbohydrate diet back in the late 1990’s. Despite the fear of the diet being dangerous without evidence, by now in 2011 there has been a rise of research even by Harvard proving that the low-carb diet’s worth and success. The researches pointed out that the low-carbohydrate diet causes weight loss, and does not cause heart disease. This may be a revolution for many food eaters, and people who are looking to be slim without having to cut down on consumption on calories; however this plan may be so dramatic that it takes first hand experience for people to eat fat without fear.
